Are there any ‘easy’ things to do in Oahu?
Bonita Bonaire asked:
I’m going on a family vacation next month with my mother, who is not the most mobile of senior citizens. She’s not interested in any water activities (she doesn’t know how to swim, and won’t go on a boat), she’s afraid of heights, and she isn’t able to walk far distances. I’m afraid we’re going to be limited to sitting on the beach (since I can’t exactly ditch her). Does anyone know of any ‘easy’ activities, tours, etc?

I found the pineapple farms so much fun. There was one in Oahu forget what it was called, but they had a large maze you can navigate through, that was fun and it isn’t that much walking. You can drop her off at one of those senior tour thingys they have.

I went with my mother to Oahu, and she couldn’t really walk a lot or hike either. The best solution we found was to wait until we got to our hotel and book the tours that suited her best. Those were the “circle island tour” and a tour to Pear Harbor. Mainly these were tours on really nice air-conditioned buses with lots of older people. They were really pretty interesting and I definitely felt like I got to see more of the island than I would have if we’d just done it all on our own.
