Planning Your Hawaii Vacation

Nothing is quite as good as a vacation to Hawaii, packed with a lot of fun, to help equip you for the year ahead. Hawaii’s fabulous beaches are just what you need to wash away the cobwebs since your last holiday, and vacations in Hawaii will recharge your batteries and prepare you to face the world again.

Perhaps you may prefer visiting just one of the Hawaiian Islands or maybe you may want to try spending time on all the islands. Each island has something different to offer.

You may visit all six islands if you want, or just laze around on the one of your choice. Each Island is unique with its own appeal, and each will be a delight to explore.

Oahu offers renowned Waikiki Beach, the state capitol of Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor where you can see the USS Arizona museum. Most tourists pick Oahu if visiting Hawaii for their first time. It’s not just the most well known Hawaiian Island and the one most visited by tourists, but it is best for sightseeing if you are fascinated with history. You’ll probably have to spend a little time here during your vacation to Hawaii, since most flights to and from the Islands use Honolulu as a hub.

North of Oahu, you’ll find the island of Kauai. Kauai is the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. You’ll find a great deal of natural beauty and plenty of choices for romantic escapades and outdoor activities. The Coconut Coast offers golden sand beaches and the other side of the island is Waimea Canyon. This canyon is called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

The island of Molokai is found to the south of Oahu. Molokai hosts a large percentage of Native Hawaiians who continue to embrace their culture, history and traditional way of life.

Lanai is less populated compared to the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, and is particularly well suited for a quiet and relaxing Hawaii vacation. Life is noticeably slower paced on Lanai, there aren’t any traffic lights and it is ideal if you want privacy and a more relaxed vacation than you can enjoy on Oahu. Lanai also offers two good golf courses.

Maui is the second largest in the island chain and possesses a number of the very best beaches anywhere in the world. Here you’ll have the chance to observe the Humpback whales that migrate to Maui every winter.

The Big Island of Hawaii is definitely that – big. This island has more land area than all the other islands of Hawaii combined. Of the thirteen climatic zones that exist on earth, eleven are to be found here. On Hawaii’s Big Island is an active volcano, sandy beaches and snowcapped mountains.

With all to see and do, perhaps you may prefer to combine your vacation with a Hawaii cruise. A good number of the cruises start off and end in Honolulu and allow you to spend a day on each of the Islands. You will never have to worry about where you are going to sleep for the night since the ship’s cabin is your room for each of the nights. You are going to also enjoy world class cuisine.

If you do choose to go to the islands, you’ll find thousands of hotel rooms offered. In addition, you can find a Hawaii condo rental to select from for a pleasant home-away-from-home accommodation while you’re in the Islands.
