Where is there a nice spot to just kick back and relax a while at the North Shore?

We are heading to Oahu and visiting the North Shore for one day. Need to know of a place, spot, beach to just kick our feet up and just relax/sleep/enjoy Oahu?

    Hale’iwa town is archetypical beach village, lots of little shops & restaurants & a good beach. About 5-7 miles south of the famous Banzai Pipeline surfing spot. You’ll find awesome beaches throughout that area, all quiet — but be warned, parking at beach PARKS can be nonexistent. All beaches are public, parking on side of road OK unless otherwise posted. Check out roadside produce stands for super-fresh coconut & pineapple. If you love shrimp, try coconut shrimp out of the local shrimp trucks, esp. the one next to 7-11 — totally worth it. oh, and if you go up H-2 to get there, stop at Dole Plantation for pineapple whip and awesome pineapple garden.
